Dear Little League Families,
We hope this finds everyone safe and a social distance from others. We miss seeing you on the fields. To that end, we wanted to provide an update on where Tigard Little League is currently at during this crisis.
You saw the announcement earlier this week the Little League International has recommended all seasons be suspended until May 11. Tigard Little League is following that advice out of an abundance of caution for our players and families. Once we get to May 12, we intend to have a baseball/softball season. We will keep you posted as we know more on what this will look like. The silver lining on this is that May is typically when we start to see good baseball weather, whereas in April we are all bundled up under blankets and trying to stay warm.
In the meantime, we are parents too, with kiddos at home. We are all seeking ways to keep everyone active and sane while also staying away from our normal ways of doing this. Tigard Little League will be sharing drills to develop different skills, baseball related activities and fun stories or videos. We hope that this brings a little something different to your inbox.
We do look forward to seeing you all on the field in the near future.
Your Tigard Little League Board
